39 VKSC swimmers traveled to Kelowna to swim at the KAJ Snow Fest Swim Meet.
Teams from Kamloops Classic Swimming, Orca Swim Club (Summerland), Kisu Swim Club (Penticton), Liquid Lightning Swim Club (West Bank), Kootenay Swim Club, Shuswap Swimming (Salmon Arm), Kelowna Aquajets, Cascade Swim Club (Calgary) and the Vernon Kokanee Swim Club were racing each other.
7 swimmers had 100 % personal best times. Congratulations to Sydney Fillion, Jade Freeman, Braden Kersey, Kiah Lee, Charles Lemay, Tora Oliphant, Kevin Sullivan for this great accomplishment. Tora Oliphant had a stellar performance in the 800m Freestyle, taking of 41:23 seconds of her personal best time. Congratulations to Chloe Grenier for making the BC AAA time standard. This means that Chloe will race at the BC AAA Championships in Surrey from March 1-4, 2012. Also congratulations to Meredith Levorson and Florian Terpstra for making the Canadian Western time standard. This means that Meredith and Florian will race at the Canadian Western Championships in Winnipeg, February 16-19, 2012.
