VKSC Fall Swim Meet

In the weekend of November 11-13, 2011 the Vernon Kokanee Swim Club organized their annual VKSC Fall Invitational.
8 Swim Teams were racing each other at this meet. The Calgary Patriots came with 51 swimmers from Alberta. It’s great for all the Okanagan Teams to have different swimmers to race against. The Okanagan Teams who did participate were, KAJ, ORCA, KISU, SHUSWAP, KCS and the Vernon Kokanee Swim Club.
The Vernon Kokanee Swimmers did an amazing job. 17 swimmers had 100% personal best times. Congratulations to Sydney Fillion, Indigo Freeman, Jade Freeman, Chloe Grenier, Samuel Grenier, Braden kersey, Anika Kintzel, Meredith Levorson, Sean Manchester, Brooke Meeks, Jayden Morrier, Kaia Phillips, Nicholas Phillips, Alexandra Shortt, Florian Terpstra, Chase Walthers and Dara Wasylik.
Swimmers who made their AA time standard were Sydney Fillion, Anika Kintzel, Sean manchester, Chloe Grenier, Regan Peace, Jade Freeman. Swimmers making the AAA time standard were Hannah Mehain and Kaia Phillips.
Swimmers making Age Group Nationals are Meredith Levorson and Kiah Lee.
BC AA Championships will be in Chilliwack, February 10-12, 2012. BC AAA Championships will be in Surrey, March 1-4, 2011 and Age Group Nationals will be in Calgary, July 25-30, 2012. Congratulations everybody for such an accomplishment.
Asia Minnes swam to a Short Course Club Record in the Girls 10 & under 50 m Breaststroke in a time of 42.20.
On Sunday November 13, 2011 the VKSC Fall Jamboree took place.
Charles-Etienne Lemay swam faster than 4 minutes for his 200 IM. This means Charles can race at the KAJ Fall Invitational in Kelowna on November 26, 27, 2011 with the rest of the VKSC members. 14 jamboree swimmers swam 100 % personal best times. Avril Baldauf, Zac Benn, Erin Brown, Michael Bruton, Kaitlyn Buchholz, Chloe Hainer, Becky Herrick, Morgan Johnson, Graham Johnstone, Jenika King, Quinn Pitcher, Jared Ross, Jaalah Ward and Matthew Winn.
