On Sunday morning October 23, 2011 we all drove to Salmon Arm for our first Jamboree of this swim season.
27 Vernon Kokanee Swimmers raced their hearts out.
3 VKSC swimmers swam faster than 4 minutes for the 200 IM. Indigo Freeman (3:46.14), Abbey Bartel (3:54.46) and Savanna Hedstrom (3:59.43). Congratulations girls.
8 swimmers had 100% personal best times. Abbey Bartel, Indigo Freeman, Landon Hampshire, Chris Lemay, Morgan Mardiros, Soleil Pitcher, Madeline Roemer and Alexandra Shortt. Great job everybody.
9 Vernon Kokanee Swim Club swimmers swam their first swim meet for the Vernon Kokanee Swim Club and they did amazing (Torin Andrews, Zac Benn, Erin Brown, Becky Herrick, Morgan Johnson, Jenika King, Andrew McWhinney, Quinn Pitcher and Matthew Winn). Sharon, Bruce and Renate were very impressed with all the good swimming. Well done everybody.
The next swim meet for everybody will be in Vernon. The main meet will be November 11-13, 2011 and the Jamboree will be on Sunday November 13, 2011.
