4th day at AAA's

By: Marc Tremblay - Jul. 11, 2010

Tonight we had Christopher Loland and Ian Dorval that made finals for the Kokanee.  They both swam vey well this morning and they swam again very well in the final session of the BC AAA's provincial championships.  For both Christopher and Ian it was great to see them making final and being cheered on by their teammates.  We had 5 alternates that were not able to swim due to no one scratching.

The day went very well with 60% improvement from all the swimmers.  They even manage to watch the world cup final between heats as a television set was available at the front desk.

In all it was a great meet for our team, the team spirit was good and the swimmers cope very well with less then perfect conditions at this meet. Warm-ups were very crowded and the temperature was very hot in the building.  Our swimmers learned to warm-up within 25-30 minutes rather then the usual 60 minutes and they did a great job at hydrating themselves well and constantly thoughout the meet.  We have a very young team that is making big steps forward.  Next swim season should be very fast and fun for everyone.

Thank you for the parents that came and help out with the various duties of driving, cooking and chaperoning the swimmers.
