3rd day at AAA's

By: Marc Tremblay - Jul. 10, 2010

The Kokanee swimmers had a good night with 4 finals swims which is doubling their number of final swims from the past two nights.  Meredith Levorson finished 7th in the 200 free with a time of 2:37.01.  She also finished 7th in the 200 back wiht at time of 2:53.03.  Joe Byram finished 5th in the 1500 and 5th in the 200 back.  The Kokanee swimmers had 13 best times out of 26 swims this morning.  Florian Terpstra missed making his Age Group National standard in the 100 breast by 0.3 of a second.  The 200 breast should be good tomorrow for him and a lot of our breaststrokers.

Sarah Mehain won both the 50 fly and the 100 breaststroke in the IPC (International Paralympic Committee) category.

The action resume tomorrow Sunday for the last day of the BC AAA's provincials.
