Wouter Terpstra of the VKSC wins the 1.5 km Open Water Swim Circuit in a time of 20 minutes and 5 seconds.

Today was a great day for Sarah Mehain.
This morning Sarah swam the 100 m Backstroke in a personal best time of 1:33.09 and the 200 IM in a personal best time of 3:24.90. Sarah made finals for both events.
In finals Sarah touched 5th in the 100 m Backstroke in a Personal Best Time of 1:31.60 and touched 4th in the 200 IM in a Personal Best Time of 3:19.20.
This is a great accomplishment for Sarah.

Sarah Mehain of the VKSC, representing Team Canada at the 2010 LC IPC Swimming World Championships had a great first day of this major competition. In preliminaries this morning, Sarah swam a Personal Best time in the 50 m Freestyle of 37.12 and she made her first LC World Championships finals.
In finals she finished 8th with a Personal Best time of 36.57.
Tomorrow Sarah will swim 200 IM and 100 m Backstroke.


Wednesday, August 11th, Sarah Mehain arrived in Eindhoven, The Netherlands after a 8 day training camp in Duisburg, Germany.
The 2010 IPC Swimming World Championships in Eindhoven will start August 15, 2010.
Sarah's 1st event will be the 50 m Freestyle on August 17.

Congratulations to Laura Hulstein for winning a Silver Medal at the BC Summer Games in the 800 m Freestlyle in a personal best time of 9:58.65.
Congratulations to Florian Terpstra for winning a Bronze Medal at the BC Summer Games in the 400 IM in a personal best time of 5:22.35, a Bronze Medal in the 100 m Breaststroke in a personal best time of 1:18.62, a Bronze Medal in the 800 m Freestyle in a personal best time of 10:09.79, a Silver Medal in the 200 m Medley Relay with a best time of 2:07.28 and a Gold Medal in the 200 m Breaststroke in a personal best time of 2:46.88.






 
The Vernon Kokanee Swim Club is a competitive swim club founded in 1966 and is a proud member of Swim BC and Swimming Canada.
