
Kelowna, KAJ LC Invitational May 11-13, 2012
Congratulations to Asia Minnes (1st), Meredith Levorson(1st), Braden Kersey(2nd) and Nick Phillips (1st) for winning an
Aggregate Trophy at the KAJ LC Invitational last weekend. Asia Minnes also swam a new Girls 10 & under LC Club
Record in the 100 m Breaststroke in a personal best time of 1:31.77. Meredith Levorson swam a new Club Record in the
50 m freestyle with a personal best time of 29.75 and a new Club Record in the 200 m IM with a personal best time of 2:37.15.

Congratulations to Paul Czerwonka for swimming a personal best time in the 200 m Breaststroke of 2:49.31, making
his BC AAA time standard. Congratulations to Meredith Levorson for swimming a personal best time in the 50 m Freestyle
with a time of 29.75 and swimming a Girls 11-12 Long Course Club Record.

Calgary, April 27 - 29, 2012
Congratulations to Asia Minnes for breaking 3 Girls 10 & under Long Course Club records. Asia swam the
50 m Breaststroke in a personal best time of 43.13, the 100 m Breaststroke in a personal best time of 1:36.15
and the 200 m Breaststroke in a personal best time of 3:19.40. Asia also made her first 11 & under Girls
BC AAA time standard. This means Asia can participate at the BC AAA LC Championships in Richmond July 5 - 8, 2012

Jade Freeman and Meredith Levorson.

On Saturday April 21, the Vernon Kokanee Swim Club did have their big fundraising day. The swimmers started the day with
the Swimathon. 2 hours of swimming or a maximum of 5 km in distance. Everybody did a great job. Chocolate milk and
muffins and a beautiful cake to celebrate the swimathon and all the VKSC swimmers accomplishments from the past
Short Course season. From September 2011 until April 2012, 21 swimmers made their 4 minute time for 200 IM,
9 swimmers made their AA time standard, 7 swimmers made their their AAA time standard, 7 swimmers made their Age Group
Nationals time standard and 8 swimmers made their Canadian Western time standard. Great job everybo
